A 48-year-old man who has been in a critical condition following a brawl in Derby on New Year's Eve has died.
The man, who suffered injuries in Victory Road, Allenton, at 10.20pm, died yesterday, police confirmed today.

INSPECTORS found an "uncontrolled rat and mice infestation" in a Normanton convenience store.
Famous Shop, in Pear Tree Road, was handed a zero-star food hygiene rating and ordered to improve urgently by Derby City Council inspectors, who said food, including chocolate, had been nibbled by rodents.

Firefighters spend three hours dealing with fire in Derbyshire...
FIREFIGHTERS spent three hours dealing with a fire in an industrial unit in a Derbyshire town overnight.
They were called to Bath Street in the town just after 11.30pm on Friday evening.
They used water from two pumps to douse the fire in a small outbuilding on the derelict site.
