A HOSPITAL has apologised for the death of a dementia patient who fell and hit his head after being given too many sedatives.Peter Ryley, 76, died in January 2011 at the Queen's Medical Centre.He had been readmitted with severe constipation on January 3, after being discharged from the hospital two days earlier.He was given a sedative soon after his arrival and continued to be given it despite the concerns of a doctor.On January 17, Mr Ryley fell and he was found unconscious and bleeding....
