HUNDREDS of motorists have been stopped for driving offences during police road safety stings - including 12 for "excessive window tints".
Officers joined customs and VOSA staff in Ilkeston to check cars and their drivers were road safe and legal.
They issued a mixture of fixed penalty notices and warnings to 110 people for not wearing their seatbelt, 32 drivers for using their mobile phone, 12 for excessive window tints, and 13 for number plate offences.
