FIREFIGHTERS from three city stations were called to tackle a blaze in an upstairs bedroom at a house in Littleover.
The incident happened at about 5pm on Wednesday when the crews from Nottingham Road, Kingsway and Ascot Drive went to Field Rise.
In putting out the fire they needed to don breathing apparatus because of the smoke.
Red Cross volunteers attended the scene to assist the occupants of the house who were suffering from smoke inhalation.
