KNIGHTS, squires and ladies of the 14th century laid siege to Tutbury Castle this weekend.
The 14th Century Alliance brought history to life with a series of displays and a recreation of the grand tournaments that abounded in the era.
Visitors also had the chance to have a go at archery or hold a bird of prey.
