A TEACHER from Derby is one step closer to living his dream of becoming an astronaut after winning a place in the UK finals of a space-trip contest.Jeremy Turner, director of science and a physics teacher at Woodlands School, in Allestree, entered the international Lynx Space Academy competition in February.Out of 87,000 UK applicants, he was voted into the top 200, who now go forward to the next stage of the contest.Some 820,850 votes were cast in the UK alone.Mr Turner said his success was...
