SNOW and hail hit Derbyshire on Thursday afternoon.
Temperatures reached as low as four degrees, according to one driver, who passed through Ilkeston.
Another reader, Samantha Findon, said she was "shocked" to see hailstones outside of her home, in Ilkeston.
The 24-year-old added: "I thought it was snowing but when I looked outside I saw that it was hailstones.
"I was shocked at the size of them."
