ILKESTON will get a train station after £4.5m of funding was won to pay for it.
The plans for the £6.5m station were unveiled today by Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin.
The new station at Ilkeston was given the green light alongside three other stations in the UK after successfully applying for funding under a £20m New Station Fund.
