DAIRY farmers blockaded the Co-op distribution centre in Alfreton last night in a protest over the amount they are paid for their products.The £22 million centre, built last year, was blocked by about 70 protesters from Farmers for Action at 8pm.Sue Flower, a dairy farmer from Newhaven, near Hartington, said: "At the moment most dairy farmers are working at a loss."It costs around 33-and-a-half pence a litre to produce but we are being paid about 29 pence."There are farmers...
