THE future of Derby's HMV music and DVD store looks to have been secured following a deal to buy the chain.
Restructuring specialist Hilco, which already owns HMV Canada, this morning confirmed it had acquired 132 HMV shops - as well as nine branches of the Fopp chain - in a deal which could save 2,500 jobs.
HMV went into administration in January after struggling to compete with online rivals, supermarkets and digital downloads.
